Marina di Pescoluse: the Maldives of Salento
The sea and the beach of Pescoluse that everyone envies and desires
Marina di Pescoluse, also known as “Le Pescoluse”, is a pearl of Salento, and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Puglia: beaches of fine white sand, crystal clear sea water, beaches surrounded by greenery, free beaches, well-equipped and well-organized bathing establishments, equipped with entertainment and catering services.
The nickname “Maldives of Salento” is linked to the colour of the sand: the beach is very white and this is due to the limestone rock from which the formation of the sand comes. Marina di Pescoluse welcomes tens of thousands of Italian and foreign tourists, especially in the summer and especially in August.
Marina di Pescoluse: where it is and how to reach it
The marina of Pescoluse, belonging to the Marine Area of Salve, a small town in the province of Lecce, is a beautiful piece of land enclosed between Torre Pali and Torre Vado, on the Ionian coast of Salento.
The Maldives of Salento are far from the main tourist centres and attractions:
