Tonight, together with Duca Carlo Guarini and Pastificio Salento, we will lend our support to the wonderful initiative of the Lions Club Salento Territorio e Ambiente, the third specialist club in Italy and second in Puglia by birth.
We will raise funds to humanize the pediatric wing of Veris delli Ponti Hospital in Scorrano, in the heart of Salento, just a stone’s throw from Maglie, in the province of Lecce.
A splendid initiative that has a noble goal: to give a smile and alleviate the suffering of our little friends during their stay.
The very tasty charity tour will be held at the restaurant “Due Volte da Umberto” of our friend chef Tiziano, the wines are kindly offered by the very prestigious and ancient Duca Carlo Guarini winery (the oldest in Italy) and the pasta is offered by Pastificio Salento, a very modern pasta factory based in Nardò.
A drawing will be held during the event with several prizes up for grabs, offered by sponsors:
- a ceramic set (glasses, coffee mugs and jugs for water and wine, entirely handmade by one of our artisans and soon to be sold on our shop of typical Salento products,
- a set of cosmetics with green inci bio cream, serum and cleansing milk with snail slime and hyaluronic acid by Dermacosmesi

- a box of chocolates from Maglio Arte Dolciaria, awarded the Tavoletta d’oro as the best Italian chocolate

Chef Tiziano, patron of Due volte da Umberto, will delight guests with a lavish seafood menu.
The event is sold-out and the lucky 43 will have the chance to enjoy exclusive gourmet dishes.
